A beautiful, 16th-century, Grade II-listed townhouse, set on the finest street in Ludlow with everything one could wish for to enjoy an all-year-round escape to the country. Ludlow is widely considered to be England’s finest market town, rich in history with its medieval castle, links to the Tudor dynasty and an unsurpassed array of historic buildings. It is famed for its markets, festivals, shops (renowned delis, butchers, bakeries, wine shops, chocolatiers, and greengrocers), restaurants and cafes. The town is surrounded by the idyllic Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with lots of opportunities for walking and cycling across the rolling hills. There is a thriving events calendar with horse racing at the racecourse and multiple events on the castle grounds including the annual food festival and summer live concert series. Explore the wider area with nearby National Trust properties Berrington Hall (7.5 miles) and Croft Ambrey Hillfort (8 miles) easily accessible.

Restored and furnished to the highest standard, with wonderfully chosen art and antiques, a large, panelled drawing room, a panelled dining room, spacious fully equipped kitchen, drawing room with pool table, boot room, walled garden with outdoor seating, all-weather table tennis table and hot tub. The spacious entrance leads you to the ground floor with its original features and charm. On this floor, you will find the first of two living areas, furnished to a luxurious standard with beautiful sofas and chairs to relax into whilst enjoying a movie on the Smart TV. In the cooler months, make a fire in the feature open fireplace and enjoy some quality time with family and friends. Move through to the wonderful kitchen, fully equipped with everything you will need for a self-catered break in the heart of Ludlow, utilising some of the wonderful local produce you will come across at the market in the main square. There is a separate utility room with an additional fridge and storage. Next up is the stunning dining room which will comfortably seat twelve. Enjoy a celebratory meal together or enjoy an afternoon getting competitive with some board games. Downstairs, you will find two of the king-size bedrooms and a separate WC. Also on this level, you will find a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Move up onto the second floor where you will find the second lounge. Enjoy a game of pool on the billiards table, a fine example of a Victoria-era table in mint condition. The lounge is a perfect space to host drinks with friends or relax in front of the open fireplace. Upstairs, there are a further four stylish king-size bedrooms, three of which have en-suite facilities.

A real highlight of this property, considering the town centre location, is the large, enclosed garden to the rear. Dine alfresco on the beautiful garden furniture or enjoy a dip in the wood-fired hot tub. This is a beautiful house and garden in a fantastic location. Ideal for a get together with friends or family. We loved the house, and Ludlow is an amazing town awash with independent shops, places to eat and great pubs. Due to the age and layout of the house it probably isn't ideal for those with young children

Beautiful! Very impressed. Clean, great location, well equipped kitchen and games room, owners provided lots of useful local information. All finished to a high standard. We had a wonderful short stay here as a large family with a dog. Would definitely stay again and for longer!
