The hamlet of Little Dewchurch is well served with a local village inn, along with many well marked footpaths that amble across the surrounding farmland and woodlands. An area perfect for explorers, within easy reach of the Wye Valley Way and the Forest of Dean. Hire a canoe and take time to enjoy the river (Hoarwithy, 2 miles). A trip to one of the many market towns is a must, where you can pick up local produce from a farmers' market or browse the independent shops. Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, and Leominster all welcome you with an eclectic range of independent shops, and are all within 25 miles.

We had a lovely stay in the Thwen Shepherd's hut. Louise and Mike were really helpful and welcoming on arrival, and was lovely to meet their little dog Frank too! The hut had absolutely everything you could need and more, all equipment and kitchen bits etc were provided and made cooking outside on the fire pit super easy. The location was great forRead more us, close enough to Ross-on-Wye and Hereford (about 20 mins) but felt peaceful and rural enough too. Would definitely stay again! Hide
