Property code: KILVE

Kilve Granary is a semi-detached property, which  set in 2 acres and tucked away in a quiet corner of the village. The Rocky fossil beach is less than 1 mile walk.

Within a captivating, verdant setting at the foot of the Quantock Hills, just a ten minute walk from the beach, approached through a private entrance shared with the owner's adjoining property, a warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured. This peaceful cottage is interrupted only by the strains of birdsong.   The village has a Pub, Post Office and general store just a minute's walk away. It also has a wonderful rock beach with a tea room, located less than a miles walk away, and is a haven for rock poolers, anglers and fossil finders. The nearby larger village of Williton, 5 miles away, has a range of stores, banks, a restaurant and several pubs. The property has a peaceful rural outlook, providing an ideal centre for walkers, with the spectacular Quantock Hills, the first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, with the South West Path and Coleridge Way also on the doorstep. It provides the perfect base for experiencing the delights of West Somerset; its scenic coast, rural villages, medieval Dunster, historic Nether Stowey, the steam railway and the seaside town of Minehead (gateway to Exmoor), with Clarks Village, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the county town of Taunton a little further afield.

On entering the property, by two steps a spacious kitchen/diner, with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine and ample seating around the table. Lounge: comfy seating, Sky TV (movie and sports package)  DVD and hi-fi. The accommodation upstairs has to offer one large double bedroom and one twin bedroom which is suitable for children due to the smaller sized single beds. Bathroom: shower over bath and WC. Outside: small enclosed garden with seating and a swing suitable for a toddler. There is also an area opposite the main house where there is a meadow if people wish to walk their 4 legged friends. Amenities: plenty of parking. Bed linen, stairgate, towels, electric and central heating included. Wi-Fi available. 1 dog welcome. Location: rocky fossil beach with tea room less than 1 miles walk. Pub and shop within 1 mile walking distance.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely little cottage that had everything we needed. Perfect for two ( and our dog) but has got a second twin bedroom as well. The owners were very friendly, there to welcome us and on hand for help or information if required as tgey live next door. It's the perfect setting for a quiet and relaxing week away

A spacious & well equipped cottage, with helpful, friendly owners on site to offer help & information as required. A quiet restful location affording easy access to Minehead, Exmoor & Weston Super Mare in the north.

Although the furnishings are a little dated the cottage is very clean, comfortable and sufficiently equipped. The property is advertised as having one bedroom only, however there is also a second bedroom. The local shop and pub are a bonus, making this a great location for walking and exploring the area. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Great location, short walk to the beach. The local pub serves great food, make sure you book, couple of minutes walk from the property. Cottage was spacious and clean and really handy having the enclosed back garden. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
