Head across the road to the Old School Tea Room for afternoon tea or to the AA rosette-awarded, 18th century Clarendon Hotel with its sustainable and seasonal fine dining, as well as real ale from local breweries. There are wonderful walks straight from the door along the River Wharf to the ever-popular, vibrant hubs of Grassington, Burnsall and Appletreewick, all within 3 miles. For those outdoorsy travellers, there are fly fishing beats available on the river at the historic Bolton Abbey (8 miles) or Kilnsey Park and a horse-riding centre, also at Kilnsey (5 miles). A sweet cottage in a beautiful location - Hebden village is lovely, and has fabulous walks from the doorstep along the river and into the hills around. Relaxing not to have to get in the car every day (and a useful parking space). A beautiful, quiet cottage and a great location to explore the Dales. It was clean,comfy and well equipped would visit again.

Good location and clean property but with shortcomings. The patio area/ glasshouse was in need of some renovation. The kitchen was well appointed but the table was a trestle table and too low with limited space. The bathroom was modern but VERY small. The electric radiators werent really adequate and there was no fuel for the wood burner. It was vRead moreery difficult to dry towels etc. The sofas and bed were comfortable with some nice touches. A quiet spot in a good area to explore the Dales. Hide

The cottage is well equipped and the owners have provided for most eventualities. We found the main bed was very comfortable and the location is very peaceful. As we had a week of unseasonably cold weather the log burning stove was invaluable in supplementing the electric radiator heating. We would not hesitate to book again if returning to the DalRead morees. Hide
