We have just enjoyed a fantastic week at A La Mer in Appledore. We cannot recommend this house highly enough, everything was 10/10. We have stayed in many cottages since Staycation took over during COVID and it has to be said this is the nicest place we have ever stayed. It has incredible views, is extremely well designed and equipped, is in a great location and very comfortable. It is also very practical for dogs who also enjoyed their stay !

I travel a lot in the UK and abroad and I have to say this place is absolutely stunning. Beautiful inside and out. The photos dont do it justice, lovely walks on your doorstep too My mum struggled bit with the steps outside but once in it was all good. This is a lovely well-equipped house with fabulous views over the Estuary and Northam Burrows - good sunsets. Its a very easy place to settle into - (after a good workout unloading the car). There is plenty of room (we were five plus a dog and it would have been easy to fit three more). The owners have redeveloped the place imaginatively and to a hRead moreigh standard. Appledore is a great little town and the walk in along Irsha Street is a delight (if you make it past the Beaver Inn). Hide
