Perfectly situated on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, yet easily accessible from the A38, this cottage offers the perfect gateway to both the serene beauty of the Moors and the vibrant cities of Plymouth (33 miles) and Exeter (19 miles). Closer to your doorstep, explore a variety of landscapes with nearby cycling routes stretching from Dartmoor to the coast. In the summer months, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool located a mile from your door or skate down to the nearby skatepark. The charming market town of Bovey Tracey is just a 1-mile stroll and boasts a lively bi-weekly farmers’ market and a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. Beach enthusiasts will delight in the proximity of sandy shores, including Ness Cove at Shaldon (12.5 miles) or Maidencombe Beach in Torbay (11.5 miles).

Enter this beautiful cottage up a set of steps from the garden and kick off your shoes in the porch. Head into the kitchen/diner and find a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of space to cook up a celebratory meal. The dining table seats guests comfortably and situated just behind the seating area is a useful utility space with a washing machine. Moving through the kitchen, there is a convenient downstairs WC. The first lounge area offers a lovely quiet space to unwind, with a Smart TV and patio doors opening out to the garden. Moving into the larger lounge space, the period inglenook fireplace with wood burner takes centre stage, with a second Smart TV and comfortable sofas. Upstairs, to the right of the staircase, you’ll find a king-size bedroom and just down the hall is a single bedroom. Across the stairs to the left is a family bathroom. There is a second single bedroom opposite, with an additional snug area to relax, great for children. Down the hall and completing the property is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, and en-suite shower room with WC.
Stepping outside, there is a large multi-tiered garden with a lawn where you can look forward to relaxing amongst the chirping birds or wandering up to the summerhouse and reading a book in the sunshine.

A wonderful cottage, very comfortable and everything provided for our holiday. Perfectly located to explore Dartmoor and coast. Bovey Tracey, on the doorstep with Galleries, Walks and great independent shops. A very unspoilt part of the world to explore both in the car and on foot. Everything at our accommodation was spot on, really enjoyed it. Being out in the countryside was so peaceful, my wife had a reading room so the kids and I could enjoy the big telly in the evening without disturbing her. Sitting in the garden was bliss and it is so well looked after, it was nice to have the quiet trickle of water in the pond to listRead moreen to.
