This peaceful, immaculately presented rural retreat is resting on the owners' grounds near the village of Boldron in Upper Teesdale. The surrounding areas offer an enchanting experience for visitors seeking both natural beauty and historic charm.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of the Yorkshire Dales and the Northern Pennines, Boldron serves as an ideal base for exploring the picturesque countryside. Just 3.5 miles away lies the market town of Barnard Castle, a fortress steeped in centuries of history and offers fantastic independent shops, pubs and cafes, as well as a weekly market and stunning walks along the River Tees. Further afield, the quaint town of Richmond (15 miles) invites exploration with its cobbled streets, medieval architecture, and the iconic Richmond Castle perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The vast expanses of Yorkshire Dales National Park beckon, promising exhilarating hikes through rugged terrain, serene rivers, and cascading waterfalls. Nestled amidst serene pastureland with a backdrop of Barnard Castle, this charming holiday cottage, once a rustic stone barn, has been beautifully converted to offer a tranquil retreat. Step into the convenient hallway, perfect for shedding coats and boots, before entering the open-plan living area adorned with immaculate decor and high-quality furnishings. Revel in the comfort of underfloor heating as you prepare romantic meals in the generously equipped kitchen, then dine by the window with picturesque views stretching towards the illuminated Bowes Museum in the evening. Sink into the plush sofa for a cosy night in front of the Smart TV or retire to the sumptuous super-king-size bedroom boasting ample storage and an en-suite bathroom.

Wake up refreshed and savour your morning coffee in the sunroom, furnished with inviting sofas, where you can enjoy the rural vista regardless of the weather. Beautiful cottage in a magnificent setting. Loved the conservatory in a (late) October afternoon watching the wildlife especially the wild bird displays near to sunset.
