Excellent terrace house within walking distance from station, central York, a great local pub for meals, cafe, and a park and river walk for the dog. Victorian house so it was cold at night. Need to use heating which is supplied but you may need to alter the temp as set at 16 degrees. Narrow steep stairs to bedrooms and bathroom. TV handset temperamental. Kitchen well equipped & basic condiments & kitchen items supplied.Good outside space with furniture. Just need good weather. Lot of local shopRead mores closed early in week. Fine for a short break. York busy and too many tourist shops. Hide

Number 41 is a lovely house. Meticulously clean, with everything we could want for a comfortable stay. Lots of thought had clearly gone into what guests would need. And the little things for dogs was a pleasant surprise (I've never seen that in a holiday cottage before!).
