Netherbury epitomises the quintessential Dorset village, nestled 6 miles inland from West Bay and the magnificent Jurassic Coast. Surrounded by rolling hills, this picturesque spot has narrow lanes adorned with honey-coloured cottages and rose-filled gardens, all clustered around a 12th-century church. Just a mile away in Waytown, a local pub awaits, while an award-winning winery lies on the village's outskirts and offers tours and tastings. Nearby Beaminster (1.5 miles) has plenty of local amenities and is a haven for foodies, with some great eateries to choose from. Within 10 miles, you can visit eclectic Bridport, pretty Symondsbury, Burton Bradstock, Eype and the ever-popular Lyme Regis, which are all surrounded by a network of walking and cycling routes. For any walkers, the South West Coast Path is a day out you will not forget, taking in sites such as Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door all located within 30 miles.

This beautiful chocolate box cottage offers home-from-home comforts with a countryside living feel. Enter via the front door directly into the bright and airy living/dining room where you can enjoy a night in front of the Smart TV and the electric wood-effect fire or an evening meal at the table. The small but well-equipped kitchen offers everything you need for that morning breakfast before a day's adventure or to prepare an evening meal to enjoy in the garden. Also on the ground floor is the shower room. Take the staircase to the first floor where the bedroom is situated and enjoy a morning drink in bed overlooking the rolling countryside.

Outside, the garden is mainly laid to lawn but offers a patio area to catch the sun and enjoy your favourite drink while stargazing.

Lovely area to visit, we could have walked for miles along Hive beach. Lovely walks (Golden Cap, Pilsden Pen, Gerards Hill and Northcombe Beacon) and village pubs nearby (Hare and Hounds and New Inn). We found Netherbury a very friendly village to stay in. The cottage is 300 years old and comes with its own quirky attributes. It states it is dog frRead moreiendly and although the garden is a beautiful space for a dog to run around it is not secure and has a large opening which leads out onto the road Hide
