Escape to the beautiful Dorset countryside with a stay in this charming barn conversion, nestled within a working farm and perfect for couples or small families. With the dogs in tow, enjoy days spent walking, touring, or simply relaxing beside the wood burner. Situated within the scenic Blackmore Vale, this property is an ideal base for hikers and cyclists. For picking up amenities and ingredients for dinner, head to nearby Marnhull (1.5 miles) or Sturminster Newton (3 miles). Within 14 miles, history buffs can explore Milton Abbas and Cerne Abbas with its famous chalk giant, or head to the pretty, honey-coloured streets of Sherborne – home to two castles. Venture 25 miles south to the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, where Lulworth Cove, Abbotsbury, and Ringstead Bay await exploration.

Take the stone path to the entrance door into this splendid former barn, which sits adjacent to the owners' home, yet with privacy assured. Once inside, you'll be met with a welcoming entrance hall, with room to kick off muddy boots and coats. Head further into the property and walk into the fantastic, open-plan living space – the social heart of the home. Set beneath exposed wooden beams, this delightful space combines original features with homely, modern comforts. On cooler evenings, light the wood burner and bask in its glow as you unwind in front of the Smart TV on the cream sofas. When stomachs start to rumble, make the most of the well-appointed, country-style kitchen where you’ll find all you need to whip up holiday feasts, to be enjoyed at the round dining table nearby. When nighttime calls, enjoy a choice of two cosy bedrooms, both full of countryside character. Both bedrooms offer sumptuous double beds and airy interiors, one is served by an en-suite wet room, the other benefits from the charming family bathroom with its free-standing bath.
Outside, garden access is made easy by the large glass doors in the home’s living space. Once outside, enjoy al fresco morning coffees or evening meals at the furnished terrace. Let little ones and dogs play safely in the enclosed, lawned garden that is surrounded by greenery, and make use of the handy dog wash tap when you return from muddy or sandy walks.

We think The little Dairy is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. All our needs were catered for, and the hamper was scrummy!

What a find! Beautiful cottage, ideal for those with mobility impairment or pets. Immaculate and clean, lovely weclome hamper and very tastefully fitted out. Clealry a lot of thought had gone into providing everything we could need to feel welcome and provided for. Can't recommend it enough. Location was brilliant too

Our second visit to this lovely property in as many months. Super clean & comfortable, well appointed, situated in a wonderfully quiet spot but plenty of amenities within a few minutes drive. A superb "welcome" basket full of goodies upon arrival too. Fabulous cottage. Beautifully laid out and very welcoming. Garden is amazing for dogs. Welcome hamper and dog touches were so lovely.

The second bedroom is small and a bit of a squeeze for two adults, we feel this should be stated in the details. Otherwise this a beautiful property, very well equipped with some lovely touches eg. Provisions for the dog ( poo bags, treats, towels, a ball) and a delicious welcome hamper. The garden is a delightful haven

Absolutely fantastic cottage. Very quiet location, well equipped and a great place if you are travelling with a dog as the garden is fully enclosed. The welcome pack was the best that we have ever had with some lovely locally produced items such as fresh eggs, milk and cakes. A beautiful, comfortable & well appointed property situated in a very quiet location. There was a very nice "welcome pack" awaiting us on arrival containing some delicious goodies including eggs from the owner's own chickens! Perfect for exploring the surrounding location. Can't really say any more! Recommended!
