Just 3 miles from the cabin is Teignmouth, a town filled with history, Georgian buildings and some great restaurants to enjoy local seafood. Also nearby you could discover the beauty of Powderham Castle or Ugbrooke House, both within 12 miles. A 16-mile drive from the cabin sits the cathedral city of Exeter, Paignton Zoo is only 10 miles away, and Torquay’s harbour is 8 miles away.
Enter the property into a warm and open-plan kitchen, dining and living room. This enchanting property has been beautifully designed with love and care at the forefront. The owners have built the property using trees cut from their own woods and using their threshing machine. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped and offers appliances to cater for the cooks in the family. There is a breakfast bar dining area with four bar stools. Across the other side of the room is the cosy lounge, featuring two plush sofas, a coffee table, a Smart TV and views overlooking the resident farm animals and across Dartmoor. A washing machine is located in the cupboard under the stairs and there is also a downstairs WC. On the first floor sits a spacious landing lounge with hand-painted hares, a sofa, a beanbag chair and a large window overlooking the farm and Dartmoor. On the left is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, hanging rail, bedside cabinets, bedside lights and a chest of drawers. The master bedroom has an en-suite with a lovely shower unit. There is a balcony off the master bedroom overlooking the Sawmill to the side of the property and into the woods. On the right of the landing is the second bedroom with twin beds (these can be made into a super-king-size on request when booking), with bedside cabinets and lamps, a chest of drawers and windows overlooking the woods to the side of the property. This bedroom also boasts it’s own en-suite shower room.
The property has a large driveway to the front with ample parking. There is a feature vintage tractor on the front terrace along with a large wooden picnic bench. To the side of the property is a feature threshing machine that guests are invited to enjoy whilst on holiday. It’s a great place for children to investigate and eat lunch or for teenagers to have some peace and quiet, to read a book or have a camp-out. Guests are also welcome to explore the owner’s grounds, where they may enjoy meeting the resident animals.
