For a restful holiday in the glorious Cornish countryside, stay at this beautifully renovated cottage that combines original features with a sleek contemporary style. You’ll be just 0.5 miles from the village of Poughill, where you’ll find a welcoming local pub. When the sea calls, the ever-popular Bude (2 miles) has three gorgeous sandy beaches that are great for surfing, along with an array of fine eateries, local shops, a golf course, an indoor swimming pool and bowling. The next beach on from Bude in Widemouth Bay (5.5 miles) is wild and atmospheric – great for relaxed picnics in nature. Further afield, guests can enjoy The Milky Way Adventure Park, great for kids (14.5 miles). Cornwall hotspots like Tintagel (20 miles) and Boscastle (16 miles) are within easy reach, too. Join the South West Coast path at Bude for walks through wow-factor scenery.

As you step into this inviting holiday home, you'll pass through a welcoming hallway that branches off into various parts of the house. Doorways lead to the open-plan living area, the first of three bedrooms (which can either be a super-king-size or a twin), a practical utility room and the downstairs shower room. The open-plan area comprises lounge, kitchen and dining area. This spacious and airy environment is excellent for unwinding and socialising, with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV. Triple-aspect windows allow an abundance of natural light in, while a wood burner brings a warm, rustic charm. The dining area, positioned adjacent to large glass doors, offers a delightful spot to enjoy meals while soaking in the view, while the roomy kitchen – complete with an island and a coffee machine for your morning brew – has everything you need for meal prep. Heading upstairs will take you to a landing area leading to the king-size and twin bedrooms, along with the family bathroom, all in the eaves with gorgeous timber beams.

Outside, a pristine courtyard garden and terrace awaits, where good weather calls for meals on the decking and lazy mornings soaking up the incredible green views. Guests also have access to green spaces adjoining the courtyard. There is convenient parking for two cars.
