A place with a real wow factor, this American log house is situated in an elevated position on a Farm, with spectacular views of Ben Nevis. Enjoy the peace of the Highlands, with horses and sheep grazing in the fields below and walks onto the hill behind or down to the river Lochy from your doorstep. The property is situated in a quiet rural location 3.5 miles from Fort William, ’The outdoor capital of the UK’, and 2 miles from supermarket shopping. From the lodge, you can bike up to Nevis Range for some challenging mountain bike trails, or take the gondola up the mountain for skiing in the winter and hill walks. The view from your balcony is three of Britain's highest peaks, including Ben Nevis, often snow-capped until June. There is plenty to explore in this area. Glencoe is only 20 miles away, whilst Loch Ness is a 46 mile drive. Or take a ferry to the small isles from Arisaig (35 miles) or Mallaig (42 miles).

Step inside to find a traditionally styled place with wooden furnishings, panelling and sturdy beams throughout. Leave walking boots and shoes in the entranceway and make your way into the open-plan living space. With double-height ceilings, this social room is flooded with light. Find a kitchen, a dining area and a lounge all for your use, along with a Smart TV for movie nights and a selection of board games for those who prefer some healthy competition when night falls. Whatever you choose to fill your time with, ensure you do it with the fantastic wood burner gently blazing away in the corner. Satisfied with the events of your evening, you can head off to bed. Find two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, on the ground floor. These share the use of a shower room. Upstairs, a mezzanine over the lounge offers a cosy snug area with plenty more cushy seating. From here, you can access the final bedroom, another king-size, and a bathroom with the option of a bath or shower.

Enjoying incredible 360-degree views from an elevated position, you’ll never feel like you’ve missed out on the scenery when staying right here.Move from the living area onto the patio to find a large garden with outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ for your summer afternoons and evenings spent outside. The views are stunning. The large windows allow you to take full advantage of them, as does sitting on the decking. The house is spacious and welcoming. As a family with three teenagers, they all asked to come back to the Lodge. We would gladly come back here again.
