The South Hams offer everything and more on a holiday to Devon. Whether you want to explore rugged Dartmoor or amble along the coast path on the stunning south coast, you are spoilt for choice. Close to the apartment is pretty East Prawle, which has access to small hidden coves down rickety coast paths and famous pub, The Pig’s Nose, which has regular live music events and serves up excellent food in a cosy pub atmosphere. The spacious kitchen, which leads off from the lounge and dining areas, has an electric oven and hob for cooking up a storm along with a fridge/freezer and microwave. This is a lovely property set in an idyllic location. The owners couldnt be more welcoming and helpful. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. The lanes are narrow but other drivers are by and large very courteous.

A good place out in the country for walking. However, no pubs nearby in walking distance so when going out in the evening for a meal we always had to use the car.

Apartment is clean and well equipped, owners are very welcoming and helpful. It is in an isolated location down very narrow lanes, although the area is very lovely. We had good weather so plenty of walking and would happily return.

Lovely apartment, very clean, well set out and comfortable. So impressed with all the extras - hairdryer, iron and ironing board for example and well stocked with necessities - toilet paper, kitchen towel, cling film, foil, bin bags, kitchen cloths, tea towels etc. And a small jug of pretty freshly cut sweet peas from the garden. For the second time we had a lovely stay at Ferndale House, and will be going again. Its great for my needs as a small family (1 child) and Clare and Johnnie are the most friendly and welcoming couple.

Very good for walking, but if driving the narrow roads take a bit of getting used to. Might be a bit too isolated for some.

The hosts, Johnie and Clare, are two of the most lovely people you could ever hope to meet. Nothing is ever too much for them and we would go back to this lovely house just to see them again!
