A stone’s throw from Kingsgate Bay Beach (70 metres) and close to Broadstairs, and with the renowned vibrant seaside towns of Margate (3 miles) and Ramsgate (4 miles) nearby, a family could make good use of this property as a base for coastal adventures. Local amenities, including a pub and restaurant are all within a 1-mile radius of the property, with a selection of beaches to choose from with Kingsgate Bay across the road and being nestled right in between Joss Bay (0.4 miles) and Botany Bay (0.5 miles). You will also be spoilt for choice for restaurants and pubs in Broadstairs, especially on the main strip and concentrated around the popular Viking Bay, beloved by Dickens. For play days, check out The Captain Digby just down the road from the property (0.1 miles), Revolution Skatepark (2 miles) for indoor skating and rock climbing, or a round of golf at the North Foreland Golf club (0.6 miles).

Inside, the property is light and airy, and boasts many original features; the decor is a tasteful blend of period and contemporary styles. On the ground floor, the sitting room and dining room are open plan, creating a flow through the main sitting areas and making it more spacious. There is a kitchen for all your culinary needs and a downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs you will find the bedrooms, both with wide sash windows and painted floorboards, again marrying the Victorian period style with contemporary seaside notes. The shared bathroom is also on this floor.

There is lawn lined with pretty flowerbeds leading up to the front door. To the rear, the back door leads out of the kitchen onto the sheltered patio, where there is furniture to sit and chat with family or friends over a refreshing drink or even to enjoy al fresco dining. There is another lawned area here, up 6 steps, which would be perfect to enjoy a spot of sunbathing or for the kids to play on.

This is a hidden gem in the most beautiful location. The interior is so well designed with a mix of retro and modern but is also practical and comfortable. The attention to detail is amazing. This place is truly unique and you really feel a sense of the history here. Sitting eating breakfast looking out to sea was just fabulous. The views, the quieRead moret beach across the road, a fabulous pub a few yards away on the headland , what more could you want. This is perfect for exploring the South coast and Broadstairs is on your doorstep which was lovely. A thoroughly wonderful stay and we genuinely didn't want to leave. If the owners ever want to sell, can we have first refusal please! Hide

We stayed at Napier Cottage for our 20th wedding anniversary, it was so perfect. The cottage was a mix of old & retro, loving the window seat. The views of the sea were gorgeous, loved watching the boats going by. We enjoyed exploring the area and loved the local restaurants. Highly recommend Captain Digby & The Mermaid both were yummy.

We had a lovely week staying at Napier Cottage. It's well equipped, comfortable and stylish. It's great to be able to walk to the beach from the front door. I enjoyed watching all the boats go past and working out what they were with the Marine Traffic app. There's lots to do fairly nearby. We enjoyed the castles at Dover, Walmer and Deal.
