This sunny mid-terraced cottage offers both countryside surroundings and easy access to this harbour town’s many attractions. Little Egret is the ideal escape for a couple or family wishing to explore ever-popular Padstow. The bustling working harbour is 600 metres down the hill, where you can watch the fishing boats coming and going or take a boat trip yourself. The town's fantastic pubs and seafood restaurants are within easy reach, including those owned by celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for a more active holiday, try out the Camel Trail cycle path, the old railway line route between Padstow and Bodmin. The easy-going flat terrain is suitable for all ages. There is also the option of taking the ferry over to the attractive village of Rock to discover the wide range of water sports on offer. Though Padstow has its own beaches just a short walk through the town, many other stunning sandy surfing beaches are nearby, including Constantine and Harlyn Bay (both 4.4 miles). If rain stops play, there is still lots to do in this part of Cornwall, with the world-famous Eden Project a 20-mile drive from your door.

The house is maintained to a high standard with welcoming, homely touches throughout. Entering the cosy living area where you'll find two comfortable sofas arranged around a TV and an electric flame effect fireplace. The stylish, modern bathroom has a bath with a shower over.

Outside, the back door from the kitchen leads to a quiet enclosed sun terrace backing onto fields. A patio table and chairs are provided for relaxed dining in the sun, which this terrace enjoys for much of the day.

Weve stayed at several properties in the Sarahs View area through Original Cottages and Im sorry to say that this one wasn't to our standards. The living room area was absolutely fine and the kitchen adequate, however the microwave and clothes airer needs attention, it was unclear whether the washing machine had a dryer function. Upstairs hoRead morewever there was a musty smell, we found the double mattress uncomfortable, the bedside lighting only worked on one side in the double room, we felt the sheets felt cheap and scratchy like hospital sheets, the shower head leaked and therefore the pressure was low, and the toilet began blocking as soon as we arrived. We were grateful for the rapid fix of the blocked toilet. We wont be returning to this particular property though. Hide

Cottage was in a good location with a short walk (down a Steep hill) in to Padstow. Tiny garden, and limited storage for 4 peoples luggage, but fine for two people. Parking is not directly accessible from the property, requiring a short walk in to the next street, but parking space is reserved and adequate for a large family car/estate.

Well appointed, comfortable and ideally located cottage, very convenient for both Padstow and visiting further afield. Good quality linens, kitchen equipment and appliances. Allocated parking easily accessible and a real bonus in Padstow.

The furniture (sofa and outdoor table and chairs) were not as as shown on the pictures. Both were very uncomfortable. The wardrobes and drawers upstairs are very difficult to open as they keep sticking. The outside area is neglected, hadnt been swept or weeded for some time and loads of cobwebs. Inside the property was clean so no complaints about Read morethat. Also would be good to have thicker/blackout curtains as the current ones dont block out any light in the mornings. Kitchen is brilliantly equipped and the crockery/glassware is great. Location is fantastic, just a short walk down into Padstow. Hide
