One of our most popular cottages. This former fisherman’s cottage dates back 300 years and provides lovely accommodation for a family or group of up to four people. Located in Southwold, the property is situated between the sandy beach and the town’s high street, filled with interesting shops, pubs and places to eat. Often described as ‘quintessentially British’, the delights of Southwold; the pier, rows of picturesque beach huts, awe-inspiring Grade II-listed lighthouse and museums are all within easy reach of the property. For more seaside fun, Aldeburgh, with its pebble beach and independent high street, is 17 miles away. Walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the many trails from the town that highlight the best of the Suffolk coastline and rural landscape.
The first floor of this striking property features an open-plan living and dining area, tastefully decorated and furnished and centred around an open fire. The kitchen is bright and modern and is well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable self-catering holiday. For convenience, a WC can be found on this floor. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms - a welcoming double and twin and a light-filled, modern family bathroom.
Outside this charming cottage guests can enjoy a shared, small, paved area with tables and chairs for enjoying that first cup of coffee in the morning.
