  • Lawned garden with patio for outside relaxation and dining
  • Ideal accommodation for a family on a seaside break in Suffolk

Property code: OC-ALP

Exceptionally well placed in Southwold, this welcoming holiday home is perfect for anyone wishing to be close to the beach and pier. Sleeping five guests, the three-bedroom retreat is 300 metres from the seafront and the same distance from the centre of town, with its many independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Also head off from here on footpaths across the marshes or walk 1 mile down to the quay to go crabbing and buy fresh seafood. Plan day trips to Covehithe, 5 miles away, with its charming beach and interesting church within other ruins. Dunwich, 7.5 miles away, with its heath and beach is also worth visiting. This is where a former medieval port now lies under the sea.

Cross the driveway to enter the house and wander through into the lounge/diner. Gather in here after your days out in Suffolk to play games, watch TV and chat about your day. Prepare meals with your own locally bought ingredients through in the modern kitchen then sit down to eat together in the lounge/diner afterwards. There is also a sunroom for members of your party to retreat to when they want a few quiet moments to themselves, perhaps with a book. A WC is also downstairs, while the family bathroom is upstairs on the first floor, together with a double bedroom, a twin and a single.

Bask in the sunshine out in the lawned garden during warmer weather and enjoy dining on the lovely patio.

Brilliant location, parking on the driveway. Easy walk to the pier, shops etc. Plenty of hot water, everything nice and clean. Try the Pitstop cafe, Gun Hill beach cafe and The Harbour pub for delicious food. Local Tesco and Co-op and bakers in the town. Great place for a holiday!

Alpha is an excellent place to stay. We were very comfortable. It is very conveniently positioned for both the beach and the town. We booked Alpha for a holiday for 5 of us, My wife & I, our daughter and her 2vchildren aged 12 & 14. We had one of the nicest holidays I have ever had.

We found Alpha very comfortable and loved that it was only five minutes' walk from the beach. We were also able to walk to Walberswick from Alpha, via Blyth Road, Palmers Lane and the footbridge - took about 40 minutes. Enjoyed seeing birds and wildflowers along the way. We've really enjoyed our holiday in Southwold and found everyone in the town fRead moreriendly and helpful. A lovely atmosphere. Hide

Pleasant house near beach and town with off street parking which was very useful. Garden and conservatory are nice additions. Overall a really nice stay but there is no washing machine.
