This fantastic ground-floor barn conversion is located in Galmpton, a little village on the outskirts of Paignton and Brixham. It has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six guests so is an ideal spot for families or a group of friends. It is in very close proximity to the local village shop and pub, just half a mile away. Plus, the barn is close to several walks – including a trail to the famous Greenway House, the family home of Agatha Christie, now run by the National Trust. The cottage itself occupies a very large corner plot within a select residential development of similar conversions on the edge of the village.

Inside, the living room has two sofas, and a TV/DVD to help guests relax after a day out exploring the local countryside or coastlines. The doors in the living room lead onto the shared front courtyard and there are also rear doors that lead to the conservatory, so the entire downstairs space is flooded with light. The conservatory doubles up as a dining room with a table and chairs in addition to another sofa. It leads out onto the garden. The kitchen has everything guests need to cater while on holiday and also leads into the conservatory. The property has a total of three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom has a super-king-size bed, which is zip-and-link so guests have the option of a twin on request. The third bedroom has bunk beds so is perfect for children. The family bathroom houses a shower over the bath and WC. Finally, there is a cloakroom with a WC.

In terms of outside space, the property has a wonderful large rear garden which has a BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco dinners.

The Chestnuts is a lovely, comfortable bungalow sufficiently large to host six people with ease. The garden lends itself to eating out, playing garden games and for dogs to do zoomies! It is a great base for a coastal/River Dart holiday.
