Experience a touch of splendour when staying in this apartment on the Whitby coast, a perfect spot for four guests to explore the fantastic beaches and winding streets of this Yorkshire town. Whitby itself is a picture-perfect town that's awash with attractions. Discover the literary origins of Dracula with a visit to Whitby Abbey, spend an afternoon at Whitby Brewery (both 1 mile) or simply appreciate an afternoon on a sandy beach (0.5 miles). The town backs onto the North York Moors National Park, complete with days out at Mulgrave Castle (4.5 miles) or the Museum of Victorian Science (9 miles) and the chance to explore the ever-changing scenery with hiking boots and a plentiful picnic in tow.

This reverse-level accommodation can be found in a traditional Victorian terrace on one of Whitby’s charming streets. Step down some external stairs to access the lower ground floor where you’ll find plenty of space for sleeping. Both bedrooms boast opulent décor that’s carried through into the upstairs space. The master bedroom is a lovingly laid out double with plenty of storage space for your belongings, a TV and an en-suite shower room with WC. A second bedroom is made up as a pretty twin, again with an abundance of storage for clothes. A family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and heated towel rail completes the lower ground floor. Head upstairs via the spacious hallway to find an open-plan living space that’s separated by a half wall. With light flooding through bay windows, this room is perfect for rest and relaxation. At one side of the room, you have a kitchen/diner with space for four to sit down together. At the opposite side of the room, you’ll find a charming lounge with comfortable sofas and a TV/DVD, perfect for binging on a box set or enjoying a tipple from a local brewer.

Despite the highly-sought-after town centre location of the property, this accommodation does offer a small amount of outdoor space for you to make use of. A patio with outdoor furniture offers the perfect spot for soaking up the fresh sea air.

Great location and a lovely comfortable apartment. For us 2 it was perfect, but it's bigger than it looks with the extra bedroom having bunks if you have the family along. Our 2nd time here and we'd definitely go back again, so that says it all really! Thanks!

Good location. Nice apartment. Parking tricky but this is the case for all of Whitby. Would go again and recommend.

Great spot near the Crescent. Lovely comfortable lounge / kitchen on the upper floor with 2 bedrooms/ bathrooms on the lower floor where you enter the property. House was immaculate.

Serendipity is really well located on the west cliff. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The two bathrooms is great. We absolutely loved staying there.

This was our second visit to this accommodation. The property provides a good all round standard for a pleasant stay in Whitby. On street parking was not a problem with the parking vouchers provided. We were extremely happy with the accommodation and particularly with its location. The apartment was nicely laid out and had most things we needed. The bed was really comfortable. Serendipity is a lovely property in a good location, within a short walk to the centre of Whitby. Would easily sleep 5, the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped to be able to prepare meals when necessary.

Location very good cottage needs a little work done shower not very good wallpaper coming off on ceiling but overall had a fabulous stay thank you
