A homely, stone cottage, nestled in the North Devon countryside, this two-bedroom retreat is ideal for a small family or two couples on holiday together. Situated in the village of Swimbridge, 4.5 miles from vibrant Barnstaple, the cottage sleeps four plus one guests and has a delightful garden beside a river. Spend your mornings in Barnstaple, ambling in the colourful pannier market and browsing independent shops; also find places to dine out while you are here. Venture 6.5 miles to the fringes of Exmoor to follow walking and cycling routes through the beautiful national park. Treat yourselves to a day out on the sandy beach at Saunton Sands, 13 miles away, known for its surfing as well as swimming and paddling.

Enter the cottage to find a warm welcome and an inviting ambience. Put your feet up for a while in the comfortable lounge with its stone chimney breast, as you watch TV. Head through to the kitchen/diner to prepare home cooked meals for your friends and family and find you have all the equipment needed to assist you. Make your way upstairs to the double bedroom, with an en-suite shower room, or the twin. The family bathroom is also on this floor.

Owners live close to property and they can't do enough for you. Very clean and reasonably comfortable. Make sure you have some essentials if arriving late as no shop in village. Only milk in fridge.

We had a wonderful week at Dairy Cottage. The cream tea was a super jesture on arrival and a Christmas tree was also put up in the living room for the build up to Christmas. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We had everything we needed for a great getaway. Thank you so much.

This was possibly the best holiday cottage we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot. It was spacious, very well-equipped, easy to find and quiet. Sadly the weather was pants, so we didn't get to use the garden, but it would be a lovely place to sit with a glass of something on a warm evening.
