Offering tranquil holiday accommodation for up to six guests, this bright and spacious property enjoys an idyllic rural location, described by Lloyd George as “a little piece of heaven on earth”. The house rests on a hillside in a beautiful valley just over a mile from Glyn Ceiriog and the village of Pontfadog. This is a fantastic area with gorgeous walks and cycle routes, with Chirk Castle 6 miles away. Situated along the banks of the River Dee, Llangollen is 6 miles away and offers a variety of pubs and restaurants, and is home to numerous attractions including a steam railway, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct along the canal, Plas Newydd, Valle Crucis Abbey, Castell Dinas Bran and the Llangollen Motor Museum.
A few steps lead up from the garden to the enclosed porch, which makes a great space for leaving outdoor gear. Heading through, the light and inviting lounge has a welcoming wood burner as well as an original wooden floor and plenty of seating, making this an ideal space for you all to get together and unwind. Exploring further, you will find a delightful dining room as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a refreshing shower room. The property offers three relaxing bedrooms, starting with a ground-floor double which has views of the garden and ample storage space. The final two bedrooms are both twin rooms set in the attic. A pull-down ladder leads up from the lounge and into the first twin room, with a stairgate at the top. This spacious, bright and airy room opens into the charming second twin room, both of which have some limited headroom and skylights set in the low sloping ceilings.
Stepping outside, the sloping garden surrounds the house and features a lovely lawn and an array of plants and shrubs. The terrace has garden furniture and a BBQ, providing a fantastic spot to dine alfresco and take in the stunning views across the valley.
