This spacious, two-storey property makes a fabulous base from which to explore the varied coastal towns and villages of Cornwall, from Newquay and Padstow on the north coast (7 miles and 12 miles respectively) to Fowey on the south coast (21 miles). There is much to discover in mid-Cornwall, too, including historic villages and hamlets, the Goss Moor nature reserve, which is less than 2 miles away, and the world-famous Eden Project, 13 miles. Plus, the train station is less than half a mile from the property if you wish to explore further afield.
With a delightful interior décor that makes the most of original features such as beamed ceilings and fireplaces, this cottage has a calm, co-ordinated and sophisticated feel. The generously sized lounge has ample seating in the form of leather sofas gathered around a TV and multi-fuel stove, as well as louvred window shutters and a dramatic, oversized mirror. The kitchen features a pretty dining area with chairs and an ornate bench seat, and French doors that lead to the patio and garden. Upstairs, the king bedroom oozes charm with pretty wallpaper, layered bedlinens and a French-style chandelier, and there is also a sweet twin bedroom and a room with bunk beds to sleep two. The large family bathroom mixes old with new and boasts a free-standing, roll-top bath with a ‘telephone’ shower mixer, a large corner shower and another lovely mirror.
Outside, the enclosed patio area has garden furniture for dining alfresco on summer days, and above it is a terraced garden with lawned areas, trees and shrubs which make this a really delightful space.
