This traditional three-storey townhouse is hidden away down a small alley on the edge of Padstow’s old town, perfect as a holiday destination that would suit both couples and families. Taking time to explore this lovely fishing port is a must, and as well as some lovely boutique shops you will discover a range of excellent places to eat, from takeaway pasties to fine dining. Just under a mile away, on the outskirts of town, the Elizabethan manor house of Prideaux Place is a fascinating place to visit, or you could choose the more energetic option and either cycle the Camel Trail, which links Padstow with Wadebridge and Bodmin via an old railway line with gorgeous views, or walk part of the Saint’s Way, which winds through valleys, woodlands, moors and villages and eventually ends up in Fowey on the south coast.
This lovely house has been thoughtfully decorated to make the most of old and new, and has high quality, stylish furnishings throughout. On the ground floor, the open-plan lounge area has an attractive stone wall with an ornamental fireplace and leads directly into the L-shaped kitchen/dining room, which is equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. On the first floor, two handsome twin bedrooms both have en-suites, and on the second floor the double bedroom, also with its own en-suite shower room, has gorgeous views over the estuary plus a sweet bistro table and chairs next to the window where you can sit back, relax and enjoy gazing at the great outdoors.
A small, shared courtyard at the front of the house has a table and chairs, providing a pretty spot in which to enjoy the fresh sea air.
