Head for family-friendly beaches at Broad Haven and Little Haven (5 miles), where golden sand and rock pools will provide hours of happy fun for children. Less accessible but well worth the 1-mile walk from the car park is Marloes Sands (11 miles), managed by the
National Trust. Discover dramatic coastal scenery, a vast expanse of golden sand and safe bathing at this unspoiled hidden gem. From nearby Martin’s Haven, you can book a 15-minute boat trip to the wild island of Skomer, one of the country’s finest wildlife sites, where you may see puffins, dolphins and a host of sea birds.
