The area is criss-crossed with miles of rural footpaths and bridleways, and there is walking and cycling opportunities from your front door. Bawdsey Quay is only 2 miles away, from where you can take the foot ferry over to the tiny fishing village of Felixstowe Ferry and then walk or cycle into Felixstowe, a vibrant seaside town with a variety of shops, places to eat and drink and a popular sand and shingle beach. Orford, the tiny village full of foodie delights, is 12.5 miles away, while the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh, renowned for its food (especially fish and chips) and festivals, is 19 miles.
The charming cottage has maintained many of its original features, including the open fire in the lounge, making it a perfect destination for a cosy winter break. On the ground floor there is also a kitchen, equipped with all the facilities necessary for convenient holiday cooking, plus a breakfast bar for two, and a bathroom. On the upper floor is simply the king-size bedroom, a beautiful space with exposed beams and brickwork, sloping ceilings and an ornamental fireplace.
To the rear of the cottage is a secure garden with a bench seat and table, a gorgeous spot in which to enjoy a warm day or evening, perhaps with a book or while discussing plans for tomorrow’s adventures.
