This first-floor apartment is the perfect romantic bolthole by the seaside. It would also suit a small family or pair of friends holidaying together. The apartment is just off Ilfracombe’s high street on the edge of town. So it’s in a nice quiet spot, but is still within a few hundred metres of the bustling high street and the town’s historic harbour. Ilfracombe has long been a holiday destination and there is a rich history to discover here, including the famous Victorian Tunnels Beaches where man-made tunnels lead to hidden coves and tidal pools. Dramatic cliffs surround the town and enthusiastic walkers can stride out along the rugged South West Coastal Path. Back at base, you’ll find a great array of places to eat, drink and shop. For a fabulous summer day trip catch a boat from the harbour out to the National Trust-managed Lundy Island. Alternatively, pootle west down the coast to the beautiful golden sands of Woolacombe Beach 6 miles away, or head east and discover the dramatic beauty of Exmoor National Park.
The apartment is set on the first-floor in an elevated position with views of the harbour. The open-plan living area features a pair of comfortable sofas and a neat little kitchen and dining area overlooking the terrace. French doors let the light flood in and make the most of the views, as well as enlarging the living area when opened up. The plush beds take centre stage in both of the snug bedrooms. There is a double and a single bedroom alongside a full family bathroom.
Outside you’ll find an ample terrace with an outdoor dining table and chairs. On sunny days guests can throw open the doors and bring the outside in. This is a lovely spot for morning coffee, al fresco dining or evening drinks, all with lovely views over to the harbour.
