The beautiful holiday home is in Rockland-St-Mary, on the edge of The Broads National Park. The attractive River Yare flows through the village, providing you with a whole host of picturesque walking routes. You can also join the long-distance Wherryman’s Way, which takes you through the heart of The Broads, to Great Yarmouth on the coast. Great Yarmouth (25 miles) makes a fantastic day out. With its arcades, attractions, and rides, it has a real, quintessential English seaside vibe. Eat fish and chips on the golden sand, followed by an ice cream and a potter around the cute gift shops. Alternatively, head into Norwich for a day of retail therapy at one of the city’s open-air markets.

The barn conversion is bursting with character, with fabulous, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams and brickwork. The property is decorated in delicate tones, with a subtle seaside theme, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Cosy underfloor heating ensures a warm welcome, whatever the season. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner really does have the wow factor, with its impressive high ceilings and stylish furniture. This spacious room is great for entertaining and has a kitchen with everything you need to create delicious dinners for the group. There’s an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a dishwasher. There’s also a De’Longhi coffee machine to set you up for a busy day of sightseeing. A handy washing machine is also provided, should you need it during your stay. Come together around the wooden dining table for evenings of great food, followed by a relaxed few hours reclining on the corner sofa in front of the TV/DVD. Both bedrooms have been impeccably decorated and furnished, to provide a tranquil haven for a good night’s rest. Choose from a beautiful king-size, with a TV and en-suite shower room with a WC, or the inviting twin, that can be made up as a super-king-size on request. Finishing the accommodation is an elegant bathroom with a bath, hand-held shower, and WC.

Outside, discover a fully enclosed courtyard garden – the perfect place for your 2 dogs to relax in the sunshine. It’s a delightful spot to unwind with a sundowner at the end of the day, surrounded by pretty foliage and climbing flowers. Fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco at the table and chairs on the patio, before sinking into your private hot tub under the stars. Off-road parking is available for two cars on the property’s driveway.  The Old Cart Lodge won an award for the most Dog Friendly holiday cottage in the UK.

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful, and so spacious - even bigger and better than it looks from the photos. It had everything we needed for our stay. Paying more for the hot tub was a bonus and well worth it. It was a great size and we went in it each night under the fairy lights. We would love to come backRead more in the summer. Communication from the host was great, and check in and check out was an easy process. I would highly recommend and we are already looking to come back. Hide
