This spacious property is set in the picturesque Bayard’s Cove area and makes for a fantastic base for a group of friends or family wanting to make the most of the area. The cobbled quayside outside the apartment leads to Bayard’s Cove Fort, built to protect the town from attack in the 16th century; from here you can take a scenic walk to Dartmouth Castle, 1 mile away, one of the town’s most striking landmarks. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do: explore the town’s narrow Elizabethan-era streets lined with independent shops, galleries and restaurants; take a boat trip down the river; visit Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, Greenway; or ride the Dartmouth Steam Railway. There are two excellent beaches just over 1 mile from the town centre, Castle Cove and Sugary Cove, or head to Blackpool Sands, 4 miles away, for kayaking or paddleboarding.
There are two steps into the property from the street and three steps in the hallway. The entrance hall has space to store shoes as well as a collection of children’s books and a portable single z-bed. Sink into a sofa in the lounge and watch TV or relax in one of the chairs set in the bay window and watch the hustle and bustle of the river. A separate kitchen has all you need to self-cater as well as a dining area. There are three bedrooms: one features a double and a single bed, another has a double bed and a sofa bed for two, and the third has a double bed. One bathroom has a walk-in shower cubicle and the other has a shower over the bath.
The property does not have a garden but the South West Coast Path runs past the property for spectacular walks along the coast.
