Unforgettable Strands View - a 5-star stone barn conversion offering far-reaching views across the iconic Swaledale valley from every room!
Roomy, modern and bright, this countryside property sleeps six people and is set within the stunning rolling hills of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Filled with all mod cons including underfloor heating, a voice-controlled Google Home speaker network, Smart TV and a relaxing gallery, you’re sure to feel pampered in this luxurious holiday home. Plenty of natural light floods the property thanks to the large windows and skylights to make the most of the picturesque scenery. Although this property is in a tranquil, remote location, you can still visit a pub less than a mile away and a shop within 6 miles.
As you step through the front door, there’s a convenient tiled cloakroom with underfloor heating and space to leave your walking boots and coats. You then enter the spacious family-sized kitchen/diner complete with an island, gas range cooker and even a bread-making machine. The wooden dining table seats up to eight people so it’s perfect for throwing dinner parties and you can make use of the Google Home to play whatever music you like. Off the kitchen, there’s a compact utility room to help you keep on top of laundry during your stay. For relaxation, head over to the gallery room, offering two comfortable garden chairs placed in front of two sash windows that have beautiful views of Swaledale. It’s the perfect place to unwind during the evening with a beverage. Then there’s the living room, designed with comfort and cosiness in mind. It features a couple of two-seater fabric sofas, one snuggle chair, a warming wood burner and a Smart TV to curl up in front of. When you fancy some stimulation, head out to the next room – the snug. Providing fun for all the family, it offers a Wii games console and table football. The final room downstairs is the study, ideal if you have urgent work calls or virtual meetings to attend. Once the day draws to an end, head upstairs to retreat to one of the three bedrooms. The master suite has a cosy super-king-size bed, panoramic views of the beautiful scenery and a skylight to watch the stars at night. There’s also a private dressing area and an en-suite wet room with a rainfall shower. The other two spacious bedrooms can be set up with super-king beds or twin beds as required. They also boast uninterrupted views over the meadows and the River Swale. The main bathroom is marble tiled and there’s a WC, shower cubicle and a bath right up against the window for even more outside view gazing.
To soak up more of the outside scenery, head downstairs to the enclosed, landscaped garden with its pretty flowers and shrubs. It has a large south-facing patio space with two sets of tables and chairs that seat up to eight people in total. Further down the garden, there are more wonderful views from the picnic area and also a furnished summer house with a selection of outdoor games to enjoy.
