Within easy reach of the coast at Cley (1.5 miles) and the same distance to Holt, these two barns offer the best of both worlds for a memorable holiday. Browse Holt’s lively town centre, with its hidden lanes, shops, cafes, restaurants, and galleries before heading for the railway station. Here you can board the heritage Poppy Line and take a ride on a steam or diesel train – fun for children and adults alike. The journey ends in the seaside town of Sheringham (7 miles) where you can enjoy a paddle and stroll along the golden beach. Learn more about the thriving bird life on this unspoiled coast at Cley Marshes Visitors Centre and take a boat trip for a close-up of basking seals out at Blakeney Point.
Both barns have open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas where friends and families can get together. Thoughtfully furnished living areas in each property are a place to unwind on soft sofas in front of the wood burner and watch the Smart TV or a favourite DVD on the Blu-ray player. While an attractive dining area in the first barn has chairs for six, the eye-catching table in the second barn is fit for a feast, seating 14 for lively lunches or relaxed suppers. Keen cooks will appreciate the streamlined kitchen areas in both barns. Each one has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine fridge and dishwasher. Washer/dryers can be found in a cloakroom at the second barn and a utility room at the first. In the first barn, snuggle under the furry bedspread on a super-king-size bed which has its own Smart TV as well as an en-suite bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, and WC. Bedroom two is a twin and a third has a single bed with a pull-out bed beneath. A bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. In the second barn, watch Smart TV from the comfort of the super-king-size four-poster bed in the sumptuous main bedroom, with its sleek en-suite shower and WC. The second bedroom has twin beds, and the third has a single bed with a pull-out bed beneath. A beautifully finished bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC.
Outside, both properties have a private patio; the first barn’s is to the front and the second’s is to the rear. Ideal for a spot of al fresco dining, each space has a table, chairs and charcoal BBQ. A gravel courtyard shared by both barns provides parking space. Well-kept shared grounds include a large lawn for children’s play, enclosed by hedges and a wall, and a woodland area with a swing and slide. Youngsters will revel in the enormous games barn. Inside are tennis and football tables, giant draughts, a snooker table and dartboard, with sofas and a separate play area for the under-fives.
