This spacious country cottage is set in an elevated position with far-reaching views. It is ideal for a family or group of friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday together. Guests will find themselves in the heart of Snowdonia with many beautiful walks to enjoy from their doorstep. The attractive market town of Dolgellau is just 2 miles away. The town’s charming streets are home to more listed buildings than anywhere else in Wales, so architecture enthusiasts will be in their element. As you wander, you’ll come across many interesting independent shops and plenty of cafes and traditional pubs to stop off at. The town and the surrounding countryside also boast some excellent restaurants. For walking, guests will be spoilt for choice with many trails to discover. The Mawddach Trail is a popular riverside route that winds its way from Dolgellau to the coast at Barmouth 9 miles away. For mountain bikers, the Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Biking Centre is 4 miles away with trails to suit all levels and ages. There are opportunities nearby for horse riding and fishing and all sorts of water sports at Bala Lake 19 miles away. For a day at the beach, the sandy stretches of Barmouth and Fairbourne Beach are 9 miles away.
Spacious and comfortable, the cottage is decorated in a classic style throughout. Downstairs, there is a large living room with an inglenook fireplace with a flame-effect electric fire and plenty of sofas. The country kitchen and diner is a sociable space where guests can gather to cook and eat together. The large conservatory is a wonderful feature of the home offering several more sofas to relax on and fantastic views – there is also a second TV in this space should it be needed. Upstairs, guests will find three bright and comfortable bedrooms with lovely countryside views. The family bedroom features a double bed (accessed via one side only) and a single bed, as well as an en-suite shower room. In addition, there is a king-size bedroom and a twin room. These two rooms share the use of the main bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The gardens are very private with lawns and several patio areas with seating. There is a space equipped with a table and chairs, fire pit and a BBQ for al fresco cooking and dining. These outdoor seating areas enjoy spectacular views across the open countryside to the mountains of Snowdonia.
