The rural, market town of Machynlleth with its shops, antique stores and galleries is 7 miles away and from here you can hire bikes and enjoy a wealth of cycling routes. Other nearby attractions include the beach at Aberdyfi, 18 miles away or purchase your licence at the local post office and go on a fishing trip to River Dyfi, just 0.5 miles away. Venture out to the famous precipice walk surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Snowdonia, 18 miles away. Cadair Idris, the highest mountain in southern Snowdonia is 16 miles from the property.
Entering the property, guests will find a large and welcoming entrance hall which leads to all of the other ground-floor rooms where you can savour traditional furnishings complemented by wonderful natural textures. There are plenty of reception rooms including three lounges – two with TVs and a DVD player (one of which has an original bread oven and a cosy wood burner in the inglenook to curl up in front of) and a third where you can relax in complete peace and enjoy a book. A step down from the hall, there is also a modern farmhouse kitchen complete with Aga, along with a separate pantry, utility room and downstairs shower room. Upstairs there are four spacious and charming bedrooms all with traditional wooden furniture – one king-size, two doubles and a pretty single as well as the family bathroom.
