Wake up to the sound of the waves rolling into shore in this fabulous seaside property. The cottage sleeps four guests and makes a relaxing couples’ retreat or base for a small family. Spend your days on the pretty pebble and shingle beach, splashing in the water and watching the fishing boats coming and going. After a day at the beach, wander into the town centre to sample some of the area’s iconic fish and chips, or dine in one of the fabulous independent restaurants. There are some excellent day trips nearby, including the beautiful arts complex at Snape Maltings (6 miles). Wander amongst the Victorian buildings and peruse the many independent shops and galleries selling wonderful handmade gifts. The area surrounding Snape Maltings is gorgeous for walking, and you can also take river cruises from the quayside. The unique village of Thorpeness (2 miles) is also well worth a visit. Hire a boat and get out on the Meare to explore the tiny islands, coves, and creeks that were inspired by J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan.
The cosy cottage has a contemporary style, with creature comforts creating a warm and inviting holiday home. Come together in the kitchen, with its statement tiles, to whip up a delicious meal at the end of a busy day, before enjoying it together around the table by the window. After dinner, sink into the sumptuous leather sofa or armchairs in the lounge to watch TV or read a few pages from your favourite book. On the first floor, you’ll find the two inviting bedrooms. There is a double with stunning sea views, and a relaxing twin. A handy shower room completes the property.
There is no outdoor space with this property, but with the beach on your doorstep, you’ll have ample space to enjoy a pre-breakfast stroll or stretch your legs before dinner.
