One of three converted cottages on the site, this spacious and welcoming property would be perfect for a family and extremely accessible. It is set above the Ystwyth Valley in beautiful Ceredigion countryside, with the Ystwyth walking/cycling trail just half a mile away. The university town of Aberystwyth is 4 miles away, where you will find a wide range of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and supermarkets, a sand-and-shingle beach (with donkey rides in the summer), sea fishing and a golf club. The area is well known for its abundance of wildlife, and at Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre (15 miles), where there is a wide range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers and runners, you can enjoy the daily spectacle of hundreds of red kites being fed. You may also want to venture on an underground tour of the Victorian silver and lead mines at Llywernog (14.5 miles) or enjoy a scenic journey on the famous steam train through the Vale of Rheidol from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge.

The cottage is all on one level and the light, bright lounge has a wooden floor, comfortable seating (including a sofa bed) and a flame-effect electric fire. Through the glazed doors there are superb views of fields and woodland – throw them open and enjoy the fresh, countryside air. The large kitchen has plenty of cupboard and worktop space and this is where everyone can gather at the dining table, too – with a smart TV if you wish to catch up with the news or your favourite programme. The two pretty bedrooms, one double, one twin, have traditional-style metal beds and more gorgeous views, and there is also a generously sized family bathroom.

The cottage is beautifully located with stunning views and has an enclosed garden area for peace of mind with the dog. The hot tub is a lovely touch and looks out on the most stunning views. Its located within a 15 minute drive of Aberystwyth where we would suggest parking in Tesco/Matalan where you get 3 hours parking to round and visit the Read morebeach rather than trying to park right on the seafront. The cottage is well equipped and the owners are extremely responsive, helpful and kind. Hide

Perfect location and wonderful views. We left a note pointing out other small things that really wouldn't take much to sort and would be easily missed unless you were staying, so hope this was taken in good faith. The cottage layout was well thought out, spacious and safe for my partner who has mobility issues.
