Take a day course at The Centre for Alternative Technology (10 miles) and learn about earth ovens, composting toilets, raw food, upcycling, traditional crafts, harnessing renewable energy and more. If you’re a fan of the BBC’s Springwatch, you’re sure to enjoy the woodland and wetland RSPB Ynys-hir Reserve (14 miles), where it was filmed several times.
