This complex of four restored cottages on a secluded farm, surrounded by spectacular countryside, makes a brilliant base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Sleeping up to 21 people, these cottages are ideal for larger groups, multiple families or one extended family. All three properties feature attractive beamed ceilings, both up and downstairs, as well as some exposed stone walls. There are stacks to do right here with two hot tubs, a games room, a sunroom, garden space, a mountain bike track and woodland to explore. But, if you can tear yourself away, then head to Brecon 10 miles away for supplies and retail therapy. The Brecon Beacons National Park starts around 7 miles away; the attractive former spa town of Builth Wells is 8 miles. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal also starts near the property, perfect for a gentle stroll on the flat.
Unit 1 (sleeping five guests) is the smallest, with a comfortable lounge featuring a wood burner-effect electric fire for cooler days, and a well-equipped kitchen with farm-style table and chairs for six. There’s also a secure interconnecting door to Unit 2 from here. Upstairs, a family can sleep in one room with a double and single bed, and there’s another double room – both share the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
Unit 2 (sleeps six guests) offers open-plan living downstairs with a spacious lounge, dining and kitchen area. Its comfortable seating is set around the central double-sided wood burner-effect electric fire. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen and dining area for up to six. The sleeping accommodation comprises two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. There’s also a family bathroom with a bath, double-size shower and WC.
Unit 3 (sleeps eight guests) is the biggest of the three and has additional luxury touches such as a sunroom which is brilliant if the Welsh weather lives up to its reputation. Again, the open-plan living accommodation downstairs consists of a cosy lounge with a wood burner, a spacious kitchen with all the mod cons and a dining area with dining tables that can be pushed together for a special occasion. For the sleeping arrangements, there’s a double bedroom with an additional sofa bed, a double with an extra single bed and an en-suite shower room with WC, plus one twin bedroom.
Unit 4 (The Cwtch) Sleeps 2 guests. A cosy couples retreat with stunning views of the Brecon Beacons, dining, living, kitchen area, double bedroom with stunning views of the Brecon Beacons, shower room with wc
The outside is just as stunning, with plenty to do for all ages. A private patio and garden areas with furniture and BBQ make al fresco dining super easy. There’s a children’s play park, two hot tubs that are undercover but with open views, and a games room with table football, darts, table tennis and more. Guests can even explore the surrounding fields and woodland or try out the mountain biking track.
