The traditional Welsh kitchen is the heart of this holiday home. It has oak beams, a sycamore dining table, and slate flooring. As well as all of the modern kitchen appliances, the original baking oven has been restored to demonstrate how food was prepared in this 16th-century farmhouse. The traditional lounge has a large inglenook, cosy wood burner, and original oak beams. Relax in front of the fire on the comfortable leather seating to watch a movie with the kids, or simply enjoy the gorgeous views from the window seat. The property benefits from a second spacious lounge/parlour, which has a feature open fire and two chapel benches, as well as two large windows overlooking the garden. Look out for the Prince’s coat of arms symbol on the ceiling and above the open fire. The playroom is accessed via the first lounge and provides an inviting space for children and young adults. They can connect their games consoles to the TV or watch a favourite movie using the DVD player. A range of toys, books, and games is provided for younger children, and there are two relaxing chairs and bean bags to sit on. You can stay on top of the washing in the utility room, which has both a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The outdoor games room is next door to the kitchen and boasts table tennis and table football to enjoy with family or friends. On the first floor, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom with views of the garden and oak tree, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with a separate shower, a king-size bedroom, and a shower room. On the second floor, you’ll find a double bedroom with views over the garden and fields, and one further double bedroom.
Outside, you can spend time in the large, enclosed garden. The outdoor space includes a beautiful lawned area for relaxing or playing games with the children. There is garden furniture for al fresco dining, or simply enjoying the countryside views. A small, fenced-off stream flows close to the garden, and there is a small lake nearby, where you might catch a glimpse of ducks, grey herons, geese, and pheasants. In the outbuilding, you’ll find a charcoal BBQ set. As this property is set inside a working farm, it is possible to arrange a ‘farmyard experience’ activity with the owners.
