A large holiday home set in a stunning rural setting on a working family farm. Ideal for a family get-together or a holiday with friends, it’s located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Vale of Clwyd. There are many opportunities for walking, cycling, and horse riding in the local area, including Llyn Brenig (11.5 miles), the Wales Coastal Path (12 miles), and Offa’s Dyke Path (starting at Prestatyn - 15 miles). This peaceful property offers fantastic countryside views and sits just 2.5 miles from the village of Henllan. You’ll find it in a convenient location, on the border of Denbighshire and Conwy in north-east Wales. It’s 12 miles from the sandy beach and traditional seaside attractions at Rhyl. Yachting, windsurfing, and jet-skiing are available at Rhyl Marina, or you can go kitesurfing in Kinmel Bay (12 miles). Keen golfers can play the 18-hole course at Denbigh Golf Club (3.5 miles), while anglers can fish for salmon and trout in the River Elwy (1 mile). You can visit the historic market town of Denbigh (4 miles), which has a variety of independent restaurants and welcoming pubs, as well as a castle. Spend the day exploring the cathedral town of St Asaph (7 miles), or shop ‘til you drop at the town’s shopping outlet. Enjoy a lakeside walk at Llyn Brenig, which also has a visitor centre, cafe, children’s play area, fishery, and cycle hire. If you want to explore the attractions of the stunning North Wales coast, this is the perfect base.

The traditional Welsh kitchen is the heart of this holiday home. It has oak beams, a sycamore dining table, and slate flooring. As well as all of the modern kitchen appliances, the original baking oven has been restored to demonstrate how food was prepared in this 16th-century farmhouse. The traditional lounge has a large inglenook, cosy wood burner, and original oak beams. Relax in front of the fire on the comfortable leather seating to watch a movie with the kids, or simply enjoy the gorgeous views from the window seat. The property benefits from a second spacious lounge/parlour, which has a feature open fire and two chapel benches, as well as two large windows overlooking the garden. Look out for the Prince’s coat of arms symbol on the ceiling and above the open fire. The playroom is accessed via the first lounge and provides an inviting space for children and young adults. They can connect their games consoles to the TV or watch a favourite movie using the DVD player. A range of toys, books, and games is provided for younger children, and there are two relaxing chairs and bean bags to sit on. You can stay on top of the washing in the utility room, which has both a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The outdoor games room is next door to the kitchen and boasts table tennis and table football to enjoy with family or friends. On the first floor, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom with views of the garden and oak tree, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with a separate shower, a king-size bedroom, and a shower room. On the second floor, you’ll find a double bedroom with views over the garden and fields, and one further double bedroom.

Outside, you can spend time in the large, enclosed garden. The outdoor space includes a beautiful lawned area for relaxing or playing games with the children. There is garden furniture for al fresco dining, or simply enjoying the countryside views. A small, fenced-off stream flows close to the garden, and there is a small lake nearby, where you might catch a glimpse of ducks, grey herons, geese, and pheasants. In the outbuilding, you’ll find a charcoal BBQ set. As this property is set inside a working farm, it is possible to arrange a ‘farmyard experience’ activity with the owners.

A wonderful farmhouse, surrounded with fantastic views that was perfect for our family get together. Everything you might need is provided and the house itself is comfortable yet full of historical details. The garden area was great for our family to sit out in, see the local sheep and cows and to also have a kick around with a ball. Ffion anRead mored Rhodri were very friendly when we saw them but also gave us our privacy. A perfect holiday destination for rest, relaxation, family gatherings and a wonderful time in the middle of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Hide

The easy communication with the owners and their readiness to help with whatever question we had. For example regarding the recycling of rubbish: clear and bins with explanations. It's the first time that happened in holiday properties we have rent over the last 10 years! Previous owners didn't seem to bother about the recycling of rubbish.
