With spectacular scenery from the doorstop, you can bring your dog here to explore the magical country lanes on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula. You’ll find many sandy beaches and pretty coastal villages to explore within a 10-mile radius of this peaceful cottage. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, golf, pony-trekking or water sports, you’ll find endless activities to fill your days here. Visit the picturesque village of Aberdaron (3 miles), to explore this former fishing village with a host of pubs, cafes, shops, and bakeries. The village is also home to Porth y Swnt, a National Trust interpretation centre. You can also visit Plas yn Rhiw, a National Trust-owned 17th-century manor house in Y Rhiw (2 miles). Porthoer (4 miles) is known for its famous ‘whistling sands’ and is the starting point for many scenic coastal walks. Surfers can spend a day at Porth Neigwl (9 miles), which is a popular location for surfing and bodyboarding. For a special day out, catch a boat to Bardsey Island from Porth Meudwy (3 miles), to spot puffins and grey seals. If you would like to experience a working farm, the owners can arrange a farm tour on request. On the tour, you can help to collect eggs, and feed the hens, lambs, and calves.
The ground-floor accommodation is open plan, with traditional beamed ceilings and tiled flooring throughout. Relax on the comfortable sofa by the clear-view wood burner, or switch on the TV and DVD player for a cosy movie night. The contemporary shaker-style kitchen is well-equipped, and you can enjoy a romantic meal or takeaway at the antique round oak table. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom is fitted with a high-quality mattress and bedding. This room also features a single sofa bed, which is suitable for a small child. The bedroom is served by a separate light and airy shower room with a power shower.
Outside, the cottage benefits from a separate, sheltered south-facing courtyard garden, with a traditional stone bench, patio furniture, two sun loungers, and a BBQ. At the rear of the cottage, you’ll find an enclosed garden with lawn and a clothes line. The outdoor space is ideal for sunset dining, star gazing, or simply enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.
