Panoramic mountain views of Cadair Idris, a comfortable interior and a fabulous garden make this appealing cottage a great base for exploring Snowdonia and spending days at the seaside. It’s ideal for friends or families as well as two canine companions.
The fabulous kitchen/diner is the heart of this appealing single-storey property, offering plenty of space to whip up delicious meals and socialise around the table. There’s a TV for extra entertainment and room on the floor for your furry friends’ bowls and beds. After supper, head into the cosy lounge where leather seating is grouped around a wood burner-effect electric fire and a smart TV. During the daytime, you can admire the mountain views through the glazed patio doors. Along the hall, the king-size bedroom offers views of the garden, the double has views towards Cadair Idris and the twin has mountain views. Something for everyone! A bright bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the home-from-home comfort. For hairy hounds in need of zoomies or children to run off excess energy, there’s a safely enclosed lawn area outside, while adults will appreciate the patio with a BBQ, fire pit and dining furniture, ideal for lazy days in the sunshine.
The cottage is set above the village of Llanelltyd within Snowdonia National Park and has hikes of all kinds from the front door. It’s just 2 miles from the handsome market town of Dolgellau, which is tucked under the mountain of Cadair Idris and is a starting point for a variety of walks both easy and challenging. Here, you’ll also find a range of boutique shops as well as a choice of places to eat and drink. For a day at the beach, try Barmouth, 8 miles, which has long, golden sands where furry friends can dash in and out of the waves.
