A traditional farm cottage with modern touches, this charming Welsh retreat is perfect for a small family, two couples or guests wishing to bring a pony or horse so they can hack across the countryside. Situated near Overton, 7 miles from Wrexham and 9 miles from Llangollen, the property is located on a farm within peaceful surroundings. Follow picturesque cycle routes, bridleways and footpaths close by. Pick up the Offa’s Dyke Path, 2 miles from the cottage. Head into Wrexham to browse in the shops and dine out in cafes and restaurants or visit Llangollen, known as the home of an international music festival, to walk beside the canal or catch a train along the heritage railway line.

Let yourselves into the cottage to find accommodation with exposed brick and woodwork, as well as limestone and oak flooring. Stroll into the open-plan kitchen/diner to discover it has everything you need to help you cook meals for your party with your own ingredients. There is also a useful utility room nearby. Spend your evenings in the lounge watching TV or playing games, opening the door to the garden on fine days. There is also a ground-floor wet room. When night begins to fall, venture upstairs to a double or a twin bedroom. There is also a snug, with a futon for relaxing on, and a family bathroom up here.

Spill out into the lawned garden whenever the sun is shining. Dine out here too during the summer months.

Lovely to be tucked away. The directions as to which junction to leave the main road could be improved, as the hamlet is not signed.

Lovely cottage, toddler really enjoyed being on a farm and seeing all the farm animals through the windows. Very quiet and peaceful. Only niggle - the sky lights in the main bedroom and quite nook upstairs did not have any covers. Something to be mindful of travelling with toddlers and babies that like ours require a dark space to nap. Also the dayRead morelight at 5am meant our once 7/8am sleeper was waking as soon as the room filled with daylight. Something to be mindful of! My partner however had no issues sleeping so it is very personal preference! Hide

A lovely cottage, in a delightful situation. There's lots of room, it's very comfortable, and superbly equipped. We enjoyed looking at the photos of "now and then", showing how the cottage was created very sympathetically from an old farm building. Definitely recommend!
