Choose this rustic, detached cottage for a family or group break to Snowdonia, located in Cywarch Valley at the foot of Aran Fawddwy mountain with spectacular views - including from your private, outdoor hot tub - and breathtaking nature to explore right from your doorstep. Fields, streams, wildlife and farm animals surround the cottage for you to enjoy: pull on your walking boots and explore the nearby valleys or even take the challenging hike to the summit of Aran Fawddwy with safety in mind (starting 0.1 miles away). Other outdoor adventures include mountain biking across the renowned trails of Coed-y-Brenin (18 miles) and water sports like kayaking and windsurfing on scenic Lake Vyrnwy (16 miles). Reward yourself with relaxing beach days at picturesque Barmouth (21 miles) with its Blue Flag beach; or with refreshments at pubs and restaurants in the pretty market town of Machynlleth (16 miles).

Make yourself at home in this traditional cottage where the large, ground-floor kitchen is full of charming features like local Portmeirion crockery. With a farmhouse feel, the space is rustic chic and has a small dining table for relaxing over drinks and snacks. Share group or family dinners in the dining room where there’s a table and six chairs plus a wooden bench for alternative relaxation; then retire to the living room where comfy seating faces the wood burner that’s set inside an old slate and stone fireplace, making the room atmospheric. There’s plenty to keep you all entertained with a Smart TV and DVD player (plus some DVDs), games, jigsaws and books. The ground floor is complete with a handy utility room housing a washing machine, dryer, freezer and space to store bikes for those outdoor pursuits. Head upstairs to find the three homely bedrooms: one spacious super-king bedroom and a double room with countryside views to wake up to, and a bedroom with bunk beds suitable only for children. The brightly tiled bathroom was made for rejuvenation with a shower over a bath.

Make memories over those breathtaking views from the large, enclosed garden and patio area. Dine alfresco using the BBQ and picnic table, relax on the bench and pamper in your luxurious, private hot tub (steps lead up to it) as you take in those panoramic scenes.

We had the most lovely time here. Everything we needed was provided. We had a Morrisons delivery for food and visited the local bakery for honey buns which were incredible! The hosts were utterly lovely- and very kind. We hope to come back soon! I just wish we were closer so we could visit frequently!

Very well appointed, comfortable & homely. Very quiet rural setting. Very relaxing. The hot tub lovely & private. The drive from the village to the property is a narrow lane just over a mile with some passing points, care needed, but its worth the drive. Had a food delivery by Morrisons which meant we were self sufficient.
