A sumptuous cottage near Tal-y-bont, 8 miles from Aberystwyth, this delightful Mid Wales property is perfectly placed for the mountains and the seaside. Sleeping six guests, the two-bedroom retreat, which has a hot tub, could suit two smaller families or one larger one. Venture 7 miles to Borth, which has the longest sandy beach in Ceredigion. Pull on your walking boots and step straight out of the cottage to enjoy scenic country and mountain walks. Head into vibrant Aberystwyth to peruse the colourful shops and dine out. Visit the castle here, take a trip on the narrow-gauge railway or hire bicycles and follow routes out of the town. Also visit historic Machynlleth, 11.5 miles away, during your Welsh stay. This charming property features the bottom half of a beautifully converted barn.
Open the door to this south-facing, semi-detached property and wander into the kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea. Watch TV or listen to the radio as you cook dinner here later too, then call everyone to the table. Head through to the lounge in the evening to find a film on the TV, opening the French windows to the patio during the warmer weather or cosying up beside the wood burner-effect gas fire when it’s chilly. There is also a handy utility room and family bathroom downstairs. Wander upstairs to discover the two family bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a single bed. Both have an en-suite shower room and a TV.
Soak up the sunshine out in the large, enclosed garden. Watch the children play on the lawn, bubble in the hot tub and take in the views as you cook dinner on the BBQ.
