Unpack and unwind with family or friends at this luxurious holiday cottage with coastal and country views on the breathtaking Llyn Peninsula. Set in a peaceful location on part of a working farm, it's tempting to sit back, enjoy your welcome hamper, and do absolutely nothing for the whole holiday. However, there is much to see and do in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearest village shop is in Tudweiliog (2 miles), where you will also find a welcoming local pub, with many other pubs and restaurants in the area. Amongst the ‘must see’ attractions is the beautiful seaside village of Aberdaron (6 miles), the pub on the beach in Porthdinllaen (7 miles) and of course the area's endless sandy beaches, including the nearest one at Penllech, 2 miles from the cottage, where you can also join the Wales Coast Path. Walkers will also enjoy the Yr Eifl Mountain Range, including the highest point on the Llyn Peninsula. The trail is 4.5 miles long and begins 12 miles from the cottage. For a day trip to remember, take a boat from Aberdaron to sacred Bardsey Island, home to a lighthouse, 12 Grade II-listed homes and a bird observatory set up to monitor the huge numbers of visiting seabirds. Nant Gwrtheyrn Language and Heritage Centre (13 miles) is another great attraction within its hidden bay by the sea. If that’s not enough, Glasfryn Park (16 miles) offers fun for all the family with bowling, go-karting, climbing, wakeboarding, crazy golf and kayaking and archery, to name but a few.
With thick stone walls and plenty of rural charm, this is a welcoming home to return to after a day of exploring the Llyn Peninsula. Entering into the lofty kitchen/diner, the room is open to the exposed wooden rafters with a stylish slate floor underfoot. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to serve delicious meals at the large, farmhouse-style dining table. The adjoining living room features a solid oak floor, a TV, comfortable large leather sofas and a warming wood burner for cosy evenings in. Two bedrooms can be found on this ground floor. The first double bedroom has a cream iron double bed with breathtaking sea and countryside views and an exposed stone wall feature. The second double bedroom also has a cream iron double bed and shares the same magnificent sea and countryside views. A stylish family bathroom with a double-ended bath and a wet room-style shower can be found adjacent. At the top of the stairs is a cosy ‘snug’ room with another TV and a large leather bean bag. This room also comes with a DVD player – a perfect retreat for the children, especially with the traditional ‘crogloft’ twin room next door, accessed via the snug.
As you would expect from a luxury holiday cottage with sea views, the patio area is precisely where you would want it to be: right in front of the expansive landscape with seats to relax and admire the stunning, peaceful surroundings. A gas BBQ is provided to enjoy those warm summer evenings cooking with loved ones. Behind the cottage, there is also a large, shared garden with a table and benches, shared with the other two holiday cottages on site.
