This spacious and comfortably furnished property, sleeping seven guests, is an ideal base for families or a group of friends to enjoy the Pembrokeshire National Park. Just 1 mile away is the magnificent medieval cathedral in historic St Davids – a destination that holds the title of Britain’s smallest city. Visit this historic building and wander through the beautiful grounds and ruins of the Bishop’s Palace. You may see cattle and sheep grazing here, brought in to help conserve the ancient landscape. Stroll through the charming city centre with its shops, galleries and cafes, and drop by the splendid Oriel Y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre to learn more about this fascinating area. Just outside St Davids is Whitesands Bay, popular with surfers and with a fine sandy beach. Visit the new St Davids Lifeboat Station in the small harbour of St Justinians (2 miles). From here you can take an exciting boat trip around Ramsey Island, a haven for wildlife, with waters frequented by seals and dolphins. Get a taste of coasteering, kayaking and much more on a TYF Adventure Day, with help from the experienced guides based in St Davids. Or opt for one of the many wonderful coastal walks on the doorsteps, all with spectacular views.
The cottage is full of character and charm, with deep-set windows and sloping ceilings. The light and exceptionally spacious open-plan interior includes a cosy living room with wooden floors, ceiling beams, and a feature stone wall. There are two comfortable sofas and an armchair, making this a peaceful spot in which to relax and watch TV, read or play a board game from the selection on offer. The pretty, wooden dining table and chairs echo the country-style kitchen, which has ample room for guests to share the cooking. You'll find two simply furnished bedrooms - one is a double and the other a twin, both with wooden furniture. Also on this floor is the pretty bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Upstairs, a gallery-style bedroom with a countryside view overlooks the kitchen area. This room houses three single beds and has sloping ceilings.
Outside, a private lawn at the rear of the cottage houses a picnic bench, while to the front is a bench where you can sit and enjoy lovely views. There is also a large, central garden with a picnic bench and BBQ, shared with a neighbouring holiday home. Children and adults alike will enjoy the large, flat playing field, ideal for football, cricket and other outdoor games.
