Devil’s Bridge has been a popular spot for hundreds of years and more recently the village and surrounding scenery has featured as the backdrop for the detective drama Hinterland. Discover the namesake of the village and its rich history with a stroll towards the Devil’s Bridge Waterfalls and the three bridges (1 mile), built on top of each other and according to legend, the first was built by the Devil. Explore the seaside resort of Aberystwyth 10 miles away, nestled between the Cambrian Mountains and Cardigan Bay, packed full of shops, pubs, supermarkets, and restaurants, as well as a beautiful promenade to enjoy, The National Library of Wales and a quaint cliff railway.
An entrance hallway welcomes you into the cottage and leads to a cosy living/dining room complete with feature exposed ceiling beams, large stone fireplace housing a wood burner, a comfy sofa and armchairs, a TV and farmhouse-style wooden dining table and chairs. Further through the cottage, you’re met with a contemporary galley-style kitchen, well-equipped with everything you may need to cater. You’ll also find two bedrooms on this level, one double and one twin, both benefiting from wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Upstairs comprises a newly renovated snug underneath the eaves, with characterful wooden panelled wall, comfortable seating and a TV, as well as a spacious, well-appointed family bathroom.
Through the back door and undercover, you’ll find a Swedish sauna and shower room to help you unwind, which also houses the washing machine. Outside, there is also a charcoal BBQ area undercover, perfect for any weather and all seasons. To the front of the cottage, the hot tub waits for you to enjoy, with surrounding patio furniture and a lawned area – the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Within the grounds, there is also a shared games room with a pool table and table football, a small stream, and children can also play in the field to the side of the cottage or watch as the sheep pass by.
