A spacious holiday home, ideal for a couples’ walking holiday or getaway with friends. There are countless opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, water sports, and pony trekking in the local area. The cottage sits close to the foot of Aran Fawddwy, the highest mountain in Southern Snowdonia, and near to the highest pass in Wales. This leads to Lake Vyrnwy (12 miles), where you’ll find the RSPB Centre, and Lake Tegid (13 miles), Wales largest natural lake, for water sports activities, cycling, and scenic walks. For a more relaxing day out, sit back and enjoy the views on Bala Lake Railway or the narrow gauge railway at Talyllyn. The area is part of an International Dark Sky Reserve, which means it is officially recognised as one of the best places for star-gazing inside Snowdonia National Park. Dinas Mawddwy (4 miles) is home to a welcoming village pub/restaurant, as well as a visitor shop and cafe. The cottage is central to three beautiful Welsh market towns; Dolgellau (13 miles), Bala (14 miles), and Machynlleth (17 miles), all of which offer a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes.
