Set on a working farm, this beautifully renovated barn is in the perfect location for great outdoor adventures in the Brecon Beacons National Park. One of four cottages on site, from here you are just 8 miles from the market town of Brecon with its charming narrow streets and monthly farmers’ market, brimming with fresh local produce. There is also a wealth of independent shops to browse. Of course, being on the doorstep of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor activities and spectacular walks. Conquer Pen y Fan, 12 miles away, explore the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (7 miles) or hike some of the 90-kilometre Epynt Way with paths running directly from the cottage door. After sunset, stargazers can delight in the full splendour of the open night sky.
Upon entering this lovely cottage, you’ll find a great open-plan living space complete with exposed beams and stone creating a very homely and traditional feel. There are comfortable sofas to curl up on and enjoy a bit of TV as well as a dining table for four. There’s also a beautiful handmade oak kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook and serve meals. Stairs lead up to the two bedrooms – a gorgeous double with exposed beams, wooden furniture and gently sloping ceilings creating a lovely space in which to relax. In the corner of the room, you’ll even find a free-standing roll-top bath. The second bedroom is a pretty single with a skylight.
Outside, there is a garden area with seating for al fresco dining on finer days. You are also surrounded by the open farmland.
