This characterful cottage enjoys stunning countryside views from its position on a working farm, just 6.5 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth and within 2 miles of the local pub and village shops. Ideal for a family break or a getaway with friends, there are a wealth of attractions nearby, including Aberystwyth Castle (6.5 miles), Vale of Rheidol Railway (6 miles) and Fantasy Farm Park (7 miles). Enjoy trips to the coast to explore nearby Llanrhystud Beach (6 miles), the harbour town of Aberaeron (12 miles), and surrounding Aberystwyth with its vibrant town centre, an abundance of cafes and restaurants and delightful seafront with a Victorian promenade.

The cottage is bright and spacious, with wooden beams, whitewashed stone walls and traditional features adding to its character. The kitchen offers a welcoming space in which to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast at the breakfast bar while admiring the countryside views. There’s plenty of room to cook up evening meals for all to enjoy around the table in the attractive dining room. Up five stone steps from the dining room is the cosy lounge, where high ceiling beams and an wood burner-effect electric fire create the perfect atmosphere for evening relaxation. A ground-floor bedroom offers a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, and there is a further ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, convenient for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Upstairs are two more comfortable bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, the former offering valley views from the Velux window. Please note there is reduced head height due to sloped ceilings in upstairs bedrooms. A family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Outside is a private, enclosed courtyard garden with BBQ, a table with benches, and a small lawn – a lovely spot to enjoy al fresco dining. There is secure storage for bikes or sports equipment.

A lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside. Very friendly welcome from the owner. Great location to explore the local area of Aberystwyth and beyond. A well appointed, cosy holiday home. Just be aware that the steps between the living room and the dining room are very steep.

The cottage was delightful. Very spacious, lovely comfortable beds and really well equipped. If you enjoy complete peace this place is ideal. The only sounds we heard were the birds singing and the lambs bleating. No traffic or plane noises at all. Bliss.
