Set on a quiet residential street in the heart of the town, it is convenient for days out without taking the car. The front door is around 500 metres from the seafront and there is a wealth of independent shops and eateries to discover nearby. Padstow is a lively town with a picturesque working fishing harbour and lots of activities to enjoy. There are sandy beaches within a mile and many more golden swathes of sand strung along the coastline. The Camel Trail leads from the town along the river and inland to Bodmin. This is an ideal off-road trail to enjoy on two wheels and bikes can be easily hired in the town. Padstow is famous for its seafood restaurants and there are many excellent places to book a table at. For something a little more informal, enjoy fish and chips alfresco at the harbour. For a day out, enjoy local coastal walks or head 15 miles along the coast to Newquay with its famous surfing scene and lively nightlife. Alternatively, cross to the South Cornwall coast or visit the Eden Project 20 miles away.
